The vulnerabilities within the Signalling System #7 (SS7) networks and protocols and within the Diameter protocol and the Evolved Packet Core (EPC) are a dominant topic in the discussions about mobile network security. In recent years Signalling Firewalls have become a major offering for MNOs building on their own fraud and security measures of SS7 and Diameter, and will continue (according to 5G security specialists) in the 5G World to be of major importance even with a 5G SA network.
Signalling Firewall Vendor Benchmarking Report 2021
Between November 2020 and March 2021 ROCCO asked MNOs globally to give us their perceptions of Signalling Firewall Vendors, how well they knew them and how they would rate them. They rated Vendors on 30+ KPIs in the area of Performance, Value and Leadership. The survey was about brand perception, experience of these providers as well as an understanding of whether MNOs would choose them over other vendors.
This report is aimed at MNOs looking to buy Signalling Firewall services from Vendors. ROCCO uses this data to recommend vendors to MNOs and MNOs can see for themselves by using this report what their fellow MNOs really think about Signalling Firewall. Vendors buy this report too, for use of competitor analysis and to see where they can improve their performance. It features views on brand perception which can be an important tool to vendors marketing departments in understanding direct from MNOs if their brand is front of mind when considering these services.
